Mentor-Mentee Network

Guidance for your next step

The Mentor-Mentee Network is one of Node Community's two core programmes, pairing young people with mentors who have recently walked the same path — through GCSEs, A-levels, university applications, and professional exams.

Right now this works through direct contact: get in touch and we'll connect you with a mentor who's actually been through what you're asking about. We're also developing a Q&A portal and a mentor podcast to make this easier to access — more on those soon.

Matching is based on the field or journey a student is interested in — for example, a student preparing for medical school would be connected with mentors who went through that same route.

Who It's For

Find Your Path

1

Students

Preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, university or professional exams? In the contact form, choose “Mentoring support” and tell us your stage of education, subject and the question you would like help with.

2

Parents

Hear directly from people who've recently been through it — exams, applications, and the decisions in between.

3

Mentors

Ready to share your experience? In the contact form, choose “Volunteer or mentor” and tell us about your education or career journey, areas of expertise and availability.

How It Works

Three Simple Steps

1

Get in Touch

Reach out through our contact form and tell us what you're looking for — a subject, an exam, or a career path you'd like guidance on.

2

Get Matched

Matching is based on the field or journey you're interested in, so you hear from people who've actually been through it.

3

Connect & Learn

Have a conversation and ask your questions directly — honest, first-hand advice, with no pressure to commit to anything more.

What You Can Expect

Honest, No-Pressure Support

1

Recent, Real Experience

Mentors who recently sat the same exams or made the same applications — not decades-old advice.

2

Simple to Start

Reach out with a single question, or ask about ongoing mentoring — there's no requirement to commit to anything more.

3

Free, No Cost

There's never a charge to ask a question or join the programme.
