Work Experience Network

Experience the world of work

The Work Experience Network is one of Node Community's two core programmes, connecting young people with professionals and companies for real workplace experience.

Placements can be a single day of shadowing, a week-long internship, or an ongoing arrangement — whatever the host is able to offer.

We believe that talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. Our mission is to bridge that gap by creating environments where young people can learn, grow, contribute, and prepare confidently for life, university, and the workplace.

How It Works

Three Simple Steps

1

Register Interest

Use our contact form to register your interest. Students should choose “Work experience”; professionals and organisations offering a placement should choose “Placement host or partner”.

2

Get Matched

We match interested young people with opportunities that fit their interests, availability, and stage of education.

3

Agree the Placement

Before a placement begins, the student and host agree the dates, location, format and expectations, so everyone knows what to expect.
